The rules of the platform, in plain English: what our ratings mean, what a review must not contain, and where our responsibility ends.
Last updated: 21 August 2026 · Governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria
The short version
These Terms & Conditions govern your use of arandmi.com and any service we provide through it. By using the site, whether or not you create an account, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
“Arandmi”, “we”, and “us” means [Registered entity name], of [Registered business address]. “You” means anyone using the site. “Content” means anything you submit, including ratings, written reviews, and messages.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or submit a review.
Arandmi publishes opinions. Residents tell us how they experience power supply and internet quality where they live, and we average those opinions and show them to you.
These are not measurements. We do not meter electricity, we do not run speed tests, and we do not independently verify a single rating on this platform. A score of 4.8 means residents who chose to rate that area gave it high marks. It does not mean the area has been surveyed, audited, or certified by anyone.
Ratings can be out of date, unrepresentative, or simply wrong. Supply changes when a transformer is replaced or a fibre line is cut. An area with nine reviews tells you far less than one with ninety. This is why we mark an average as reliable only once it has 25 or more reviews, and show a progress indicator below that threshold.
Do not make a housing, rental, purchase, or business decision on the strength of this site alone. Visit the area. Ask the neighbours. Check with the distribution company and the internet provider yourself. Arandmi is a starting point for your research, never a substitute for it.
A review must meet all of the following:
You must not use bots, scripts, or coordinated groups to inflate or suppress an area’s rating, and you must not scrape, copy, or bulk-extract data from this site without our written permission.
Every review is moderated before it publishes. We may reject, edit for the limited purpose of removing personal details, or later remove any content that breaches these terms, and we may do so without notice.
Anyone can report a published review using the report link on the area page. When a review is reported we look at it, and we will remove it if it breaches these terms. We will not remove a review simply because someone disagrees with it or because it is unflattering. An honest negative opinion about power supply is exactly what this platform exists to publish.
We may suspend or close an account that repeatedly breaches these terms, and we may refuse service to anyone.
You keep ownership of everything you write. You are not signing your review over to us.
By submitting Content, you grant Arandmi a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual licence to host, store, reproduce, publish, display, and distribute that Content on the platform and in our own marketing, editorial, and press material, and to include it in anonymised aggregate statistics.
The licence is perpetual because published reviews form a historical record that other people rely on and that feeds an area’s average. If you need a specific review taken down, contact us and we will consider it.
You confirm that you own the Content you submit or otherwise have the right to post it, and that it does not infringe anyone else’s rights.
The Arandmi name, logo, design, written copy, code, and the compiled database of ratings and averages belong to us or our licensors, and are protected under Nigerian and international law.
You may link to the site freely, and you may quote short extracts with clear attribution and a link back. You may not copy the design, republish the database, or use our name or logo in a way that suggests we endorse you, without written permission.
We work to keep the site running, but we do not guarantee it will be available without interruption. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service, including features that are currently free, and we may do so at any time.
Where a change materially affects registered members, we will give reasonable notice by email.
The site and everything on it is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by Nigerian law, we exclude all warranties, express or implied, including any warranty that the ratings on this site are accurate, current, complete, or fit for any particular purpose.
We are not liable for any loss you suffer as a result of a decision you made using this site, including but not limited to renting, buying, leasing, or investing in a property or a business in any area listed here.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of business, or loss of data. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you for all claims in any twelve-month period is limited to [₦50,000] or the amount you paid us in that period, whichever is greater.
If someone brings a claim against us because of Content you posted, for example a defamation claim over a review, you agree to indemnify us against the reasonable legal costs and any damages arising from it, provided the claim relates to Content that breached these terms.
The site may link to other websites, and may embed services such as maps, analytics, or anti-spam tools. We do not control those sites or services and we are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices. Follow a link at your own discretion.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute arising out of them is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Nigerian courts.
Before going to court, please write to hello@arandmi.com. Most disputes about a review can be resolved in a single email, and we would rather resolve it that way.
We may update these terms from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top of this page shows the current version. Where a change materially affects your rights we will notify registered members by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.
