Chevron: Built for Oil Workers, Grown Into Its Own District

Chevron sits in Eti-Osa Local Government Area, Lagos State, between Igbo Efon and VGC, a short drive past Lekki Phase 1 toward Ajah.

The area started as housing for Chevron Corporation staff and their families, and the name stuck even as it grew into a district in its own right.

Estates

Bourdillon Court Estate, Bera Estate, Chevron Estate, Carlton Gate Estate, Northern Foreshore Estate, and Paradise Estate make up much of the residential core, a mix of gated compounds that anchor the area’s reputation as an upscale, self-contained corner of Lekki.

Prince Ebeano Supermarket and Atlantic Mall cover everyday shopping, with Grand Cinemas and Arcade for entertainment. Mega Chicken Restaurant and Spice Bowl Restaurant handle regular meals, while Gilt Rooftop and Owens Lounge and Bar are among the spots residents point to for evenings out.

Health and schools

Chevron Hospital, Medison Specialist Women’s Hospital, and Southern Gem Hospital cover healthcare in the area. For schooling, families use Blossom Early Year Montessori School, Glowfield School, and Meadow Hall School.

Neighboring areas

Chevron Drive itself works as the main artery linking the Lekki-Epe Expressway to the area’s estates, connecting out to Lekki Phase 1 on one side and Ikota, VGC, and Ajah on the other.
